- Assisted with the growth of a two person design firm (myself included) into a small, yet powerful, branding agency.
- Specialized in logo development, and researching and discovering the true soul and consumer demographic of a corporate identity.
- Delivered my research and insights in a clear, succinct, and organized manner to the design and web team.
- Conceptualized and crafted all types of print media and front end user experiences of websites.
- Handled all aspects of projects throughout their conceptual inception, design stages, and managed them into production.
- Acted as a liaison between clients and designers for better communication and efficiency, as well as designing and directing some pretty sweet looking projects, if I do say so myself.
- Maintained the team's focus on a brand's true purpose and function, in order to avoid creating superfluous and superficial parts to a company's outreach.
- Developed a strong sense of flexibility due to the ever changing nature and demands of the field.

- Crafted an online archive that is incredibly focused on its purpose of documenting Portland art exhibition openings.
- Create photoshoot schedules, photograph art openings, and manage a small team of photographers.
- Prepare and organize documentation in order to maintain a regularly updated website.
- Designed, developed, and regularly update the website.
- Prep press quality photos of exhibition installations for artists, galleries, and local and national media.
- Use the site to create a more knowledgeable and better connected community of local Portland artists and art viewers.
- Manage all business and finance related practices and processes.
2004-Present

- I am a working professional artist that regularly shows in a gallery environment.
- Write critical essays and statements for the use of educating others about my artwork, and the artwork of others.
- Create self-promotional pieces and press releases for local and national media.
- Organize, plan, and fabricate exhibitions, often with incredibly demanding deadlines.
- Developed an incredible attention to detail (I know it is cliché to use that phrase) through woodworking and various craft making.
- Learned that mistakes and unexpected surprises can be manipulated and evolve into even stronger results.
- Regularly serve as a consultant to other artists through studio visits.

Freelance Designer, UnionWork Studio (website no longer active)
- I founded UnionWork as a network of freelance designers, artists, and photographers, in which I act as business manager and designer.
- Develop logos, identities, and branding guidelines.
- Help small, local companies craft a visual identity that is based upon research and focused thinking, and not just on superficial, aesthetic "cool" factors.
- Consult with businesses to help them clarify their services and offerings to potential customers.
- Requires great independence and responsibility to design and manage all aspects of print and web media.
- Developed very strong self-critique capabilities, and an even stronger work ethic to succeed when the pressure is on.
- Organize, prep, and manage information when partnering with other artists, photographers, and freelancers.
